The new CAGE reel is fully loaded with features and functionality for big-game fishing at its finest. This fully caged (or full frame) reel, was designed to be used with single-hand fly rods, Switch rods, and two-handed Spey rods. Improving on structural power & stability, a fully caged frame also eliminates thin running line, and monofilament line, from getting pulled in and wrapped around the main shaft.

The CAGE has a fully sealed, internal system. This system houses a powerful multi-disc carbon-power drag, along with three bearing for incredibly smooth operation. Fully machined from hard anodized 6061-T aerospace grade aluminum, then hard-anodized for ultimate protection against the harshest fishing elements. The CAGE also has our Tuff-torque center-shaft locking design, which integrates its spool with the drag system for maximum fighting power, while doing battle with saltwater predators, and head-thrashers of the deep. 

The CAGE is available in three sizes; 8WT, 10WT, and 12WT. Each size can easily  accommodate any fly line smaller than its recommended size, as well as large sizes when using less backing.

The QUILL feather-light, three-piece, 6-foot 6-inch series packs a big punch! Seeing the need for shorter rods to fish all the little stream fisheries, we designed this series to get in and out of tight spots and fish all small waters that hold bigger fish.

The freedom and mobility a shorter rod like QUILL gives you, is a flat out blast to have in hand. Throwing double-taper or weight-forward lines, the QUILL can still deliver long casts and land fish like a pro. Maxxon fly line backing has been redesigned to be superior to traditional backing in every way, and made for those of us who get down to it! Super-low coil memory, high-visibility, water-resilient, no-bleed color-fast properties, with extremely low texture as not to bite into line or skin. Maxxon backing is also designed so clipped ends do not easily fray, making it much easier to tie with.

Available in 20 lb and 30 lb strengths, coming on one-shot and bulk sized spools.

Our improved take on the standard, weight-forward floating fly line taper, except built for the power in today's rod technology. We offer the highest floating line available with an extremely low 0.75SG rated coating. Maxxon Outfitters Linc-N tippet is constructed using an advanced nylon-copolymer design, with a highly precise extrusion process producing extreme reliability and consistency throughout the entire length of the material. This helps create low resistance while maintaining a relaxed demeanor and reliable strength when drifting in current. Each spool consists of 50 meters of material and comes with a color-coded line tamer.
