I had been looking to buy a 7wt 4pc rod for some time. Members at my club had commented on the practicality of a 7wt for use in still water applications throughout our area. With the Labor Day sales event from the company, I could now afford a great rod at an affordable price point in which I had confidence in.

Finally was able to get this new rod out on the water!

Finally was able to get this new rod out on the water! I went to a section of creek that held some wild browns and put it to work. It didn't disappoint. Very sensitive. I was able to feel most of the takes and ticks on the bottom. Hook sets were solid. I paired this rod with the Talon reel and Prime Premium WF line. A well balanced setup! On an open section of the creek, I pulled some line off the reel to see how it would cast dry flies. Very nice! I could pick up 20-30ft with minimal effort and keep a tight loop. All in all, a very nice setup at a reasonable price point.
