Awesome Rod that looks great to...

Aurelius Fly Rod

I first started using the Aurelius 9’ 6wt. Rod 3 years ago as a backup rod. But I found it was such an enjoyable ride to cast, that it is my go to rod. I use both a 6 and a 7 wt. regularly. Great casting and unbeatable customer service and the warranty is unbeatable.

Amazing rod!

I had originally called inquiring about an issue I was having with my Maxxon pontoons. After speaking with Brian for over an hour and a half I figured out it was my user error. His knowledge and Customer Service was very impressive. In our conversation, he mentioned the fly rods that Maxxon makes and so I ended up placing an order a week later. The Aurelius rod is a sweet mix of responsiveness and feel and straight power. I am very impressed with that and proud to say had an epic day catching fish the first day out with it. I have since recommended this company to our local fly club and I’m sure they will be getting future business from my referral. The quality of their products, their customer service as well as their fast shipping is truly impressive!

A real Gem

If you're looking for a great rod at a very reasonable price, you can't go wrong with a Maxxon Aurelius, the 8 1/2' 4 weight is fantastic. Power with finesse is the best way to describe it, you can lay a dry fly on the water as soft as thistle down and still have enough backbone to cast a size 8 Conehead Muddler accurately to the undercut bank where the big fish are and have power to haul the beast out of the brush! This rod is light, strong, and powerful without sacrificing the touch needed for proper presentations, it's not a super stiff rod, but it's sneaky fast enough to deliver when it's needed.
