Flacon Fly Rod 9' 8wt 2pc

What a beautiful rod. As soon as it was delivered, I went to my fishing area, put the reel on, spooled it up and got it ready to go. The next morning I went to the river. I was impressed with how easy it was to cast being a heavier weight rod. Caught a couple 20 inch or so fish. It handled like a dream as I figured it would. This is my second Maxxon Fly Rod, I also have the Double XX rod in a 4 weight. For the price I personally don't think you can find a better rod. No need to break the bank when you can get great rods like these. Thanks Maxxon.

Great bang for the buck

The price is right, it casts smoothly and I really appreciate the 2 piece configuration. This is a great rod for the beginner or intermediate angler. Steelhead beware!

Looking forward to using it

too tough for kings

I got a the new 10' 6" - #8 rod in Pulaski NY (salmon river sports shop), and it performs flawlessly. Coupled with the XMX reel, large Steelheads, Browns and 20lb+ Kings have meet their match. The length is absolutely perfect; it gives you the strength needed to land these fish, yet giving you the enjoyment of the fight that you will have when hooking a large Salmon/Trout. Casting is effortless and accurate.
